Franklin E. Towns, 80, of Elyria passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side following a 2 month battle with cancer. He was born May 9, 1938 in Fairmont, WV. and was a graduate of East Fairmont High School. Franklin worked at Elyria Fisher Guide and Parma as a supervisor with General Motors. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, deer hunting, and line dancing. Franklin was a member of the Polish Club of Elyria, Elyria Amvets, Elyria Moose, Elyria VFW post # 1079 and Wellington Eagles. Survivors include his wife Freda (nee Cantrell); daughters Terry (Brian) King of Fairmont, WV., Yvonne (Patrick) Frawley of Trenton, NJ., Frankie Warren of Tyler, TX.; son Bryan (Lisa) of Fairmont, WV.; step-daughter Lisa (Edward) Ault of Grafton, OH.; step-sons David Cantrell of Parma, Todd Cantrell of Elyria; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister Marlene Knox of Fairmont, WV; brothers James of Elyria, Gerald of Morgantown, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Amy Towns (nee Swisher); grandson Cooper Towns; sister Janice Stottlemire; brother Leroy. There will be no Visitation or Services. Burial Private.
