Franklin B. Peter 77, of Elyria passed away at home on Saturday August 20, 2011 following a long illness. He was born March 20, 1934 in Portage, PA. Frank came to the Elyria area in 1943 and was an Elyria High School graduate. He retired as a foreman from Empire Springs in Elyria. Frank cherished time with his children and grandchildren, and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include his wife of fifty three years; Sylvia (nee: Bittner), four daughters; Julie Alberta (John) of MA, Mary Peter of Toledo, Susan Peter of Cleveland, Theresa Thompson (Tyrone) of NC., two sons; Michael of CA and Steven (Erika) of Vermilion. Additional survivors include a sister; Margaret Thomasko of Amherst, a brother; William (Sherrie) of Elyria and six grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; John and Julia (nee: Poriban) Peter, a sister; Irene Horvath, and five brothers; Robert, Julius, Louis, John, and Joe.
