Obituary

Frank John Schoditsch Jr., 63, of Elyria passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital following a lengthy illness, where he is now reunited with his parents. He was born November 19, 1957 in Berea. Frank was a member of the Elyria Polish Club. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, lottery tickets, and was a Cleveland sports fanatic, but especially loved his grandchildren. His granddaughters would say " Resilience is being able to overcome difficulties & our papa had this running through his veins. His stubbornness to do anything & everything no matter his condition for the ones he loved is something we will never ever forget, & hopefully one day we too can be able to adopt. He was a handyman, maybe brought on by our tool gifts every Christmas, and he sure did use those tools even if he really didn't need them all, because he appreciated everything. We would do everything he wanted us to do in life whether as little as going to Keystone football games just like he did, or big, like graduating and hopefully going to college, but no matter where life takes us to just be good people in the world & always be there for our family". Survivors include his wife of 37 years Deborah (nee Klukovich); daughters, Amanda (Justin) Updegrove of LaGrange and Jennifer Blake of Columbus; grandchildren, Attalie, Brianna and Camron Updegrove; sisters, Cindy Schoditsch of Phoenix, AZ. , Bonnie (Jim) Myers of Payson, AZ.; brother, Barry (Robin) of Columbia, MD. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank Sr. and Patricia (nee Humpal). A Celebration of Life will be held at a le of Elyria, 440-322-4626. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
