Frank Costantino Jr. passed away peacefully at home on May 17, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on January 2, 1931, in Clariton,, Pennsylvania, Frank later made his home in Lorain, Ohio, where he built a life defined by dedication, kindness, and love for his family and community.
A proud graduate of Lorain High School’s Class of 1948, Frank joined the United States Navy at just 17 years old and completed the U.S. Naval School Engineering Class A program. After a brief time working for the railroad, he began a distinguished career with BF Goodrich/Geon, where he worked as a Process Engineer most of his career, retired after 32 years of employment.
Frank’s work took him around the world, including India, Venezuela, Mexico, and Canada, where his expertise and leadership in process improvement earned him deep respect and lasting friendships. He welcomed many international colleagues into his home over the years and often spoke about how much he loved his career and the people he met through it. Following retirement, he continued consulting, sharing the knowledge and experience he valued so deeply.
Frank was known for his sharp mind, love of crossword puzzles and word games, and passion for photography. He treasured capturing family memories and was always a trusted source of wisdom and guidance for his children and loved ones.
One of Frank’s proudest accomplishments came later in life when he joined his son Chris in running races, eventually completing the Chicago Marathon together and later qualifying for the New York City Marathon, a memory he cherished for the rest of his life.
Frank’s life was a reflection of generosity, perseverance, and quiet strength. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and integrity that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
He was the beloved son of Frank Costantino and Katherine Costantino ( nee: Merk). He was preceded by his cherished wife of 62 years, Beverly (Rodger’s) Costantino, his son Craig Costantino, siblings Theresa (Costantino) Sanders, Delores (Costantino) Bryan, and Ralph Costantino. He now joins them in eternal rest, leaving behind a family that will forever hold him in their hearts.
Frank’s surviving family includes his devoted children Chris (Jill) Costantino. Sharon (Fiancé
Pedro Diaz), Kathy Costantino, who carry forward the love and lessons imparted by their father. He was proud grandfather to Courtney (Mark) Craig, Meghan (Matt) Bortnick, and 2nd Lt Lucas P. Costantino, USMC, great grandfather to Westyn Craig. Each of them inherits a legacy of kindness, intelligence and unwavering support.
He is now reunited with his beloved wife of 62 years, Beverly and his son, Craig, Parents and Siblings.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in honor of Frank.
