Frances M. Downs (nee: Baki) 85, of Oberlin passed away Thursday August 3, 2023 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange following a long illness.  She was born July 30, 1938 in Elyria.  Frances enjoyed crocheting, word searches, crafting and sewing.  Survivors include  daughters; Sharon Smith of Grafton, Stephanie Ryan of Grafton, Diane Smith (Derek), Judy Gallion (Dale) sons; Larry Knapp (Mary) of North Ridgeville, David Novak (Gigi), Ron Novak (Melissa).  Additional survivors include five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a brother; Louie Baki of North Ridgeville. Frances was preceded in death by her husbands; Thomas Downs, and Kenneth C. Knapp, a daughter; Laurie Novak, a son; Jim Downs, and her parents; Louis William and Elizabeth (nee: Morton) Baki.  Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday August 8, 2023 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
