Floyd C. Smith, 80, of Elyria passed away Thursday August 8, 2024 at his home. He was born March 20, 1944 in Hur, WV. And was an Elyria resident for most of his life. Floyd was a Master Mechanic at Moore's Travel Trailers and attended Midway Baptist Church in Elyria. He formerly was an owner of super-modified race cars and was an avid hunter. Survivors include his wife, Gloria (nee-Getty); daughter, Colleen "Kelly" Wilms; son, Bradley Smith; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Smith. He was preceded in death by three brothers. All services and burial will be private. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elyria.
