Felizardo Martinez Rivera 88, of Elyria passed away at home on Wednesday February 15, 2023 following a short illness. He was born May 2, 1934 in the Philippines. Felizardo retired from The Ford Motor Company.  He was a member of The Knights of Rizal, enjoyed cars, dancing, and Latin music.  Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years; Lilia (nee: Lacerna), three daughters; Myla L. Annis (Russell Jr.) of Columbus, IN., Hanah Rivera Melvin of Elyria, and Xenia Rivera Demo (Matthew) of Chicago, IL. Additional survivors include eight grandchildren, two sisters: Nelia Rivera and Araceli Eleazar (Nelson) of the Philippines. Felizardo was preceded in death by a daughter; Maya Rivera and his parents; Lucio and Felicidad (nee: Martinez) Rivera.  A celebration of Felizardo's life will be at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday February 25, 2023 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
