Faye R. Hornbeck (nee-Kies), 98, of North Ridgeville passed away Sunday November 17, 2024 at her daughter's home surrounded by her family. She was born July 29, 1926 in Lorain and was a graduate of Penfield High School. Also a graduate of the former MB School of Nursing in Elyria, she worked as a nursing supervisor at Elyria Memorial Hospital and retired from the Elyria United Methodist Home. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and cherished the many years welcoming her children and their families over for Sunday meals. Faye was loved deeply by her family and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Clerdon Ray Hornbeck in 2016 as well as her daughter, Edna Heard. Survivors include her daughters, Janet Amonette (JC), Susan Taylor (Craig), Norm Smith and Dolores "Dee" Hopkins (James-deceased); 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday November 22, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. for a memorial visitation at Fields United Methodist Church 34077 Lorain Road, North Ridgeville. Pastor Sondra Snode will Officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to the church.
