Fax L. Hillyard , 86, of Elyria passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain. He was born February 12, 1934 in Junior, WV. Fax worked as an inspector for General Motors. He enjoyed birds, hunting, woodworking and had a knack for working on and improving various items. Survivors include his daughters Pamela Jorgenson of Elyria, Sheila (Rick) Canfield of Clay, WV., Jennifer Justice of Elyria; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother Thomas of Washington, D.C. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol (nee Schoonover) in 2012; son Douglas ; parents Fax and Pearl Hillyard (nee Corley); 1 grandchild; 3 great grandchildren; sisters Helen, Ruth and June.
