Evelyn M. Resar-Jalowiec (nee: Pyecroft) 91, of Elyria passed away Thursday March 22, 2012 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange. She was born March 25, 1920 in Medina. Evelyn was a 1938 Elyria High School graduate. She was a floral designer who had worked for several local area florists, and had previously worked at Western Automatic. Evelyn was the oldest member of Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Elyria, and a life member of V.F.W. Post # 1079. She was a talented artist who enjoyed both drawing and painting. Evelyn treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren; she loved her dogs Shiner and Macey. Evelyn also enjoyed baking for family and friends. Survivors include a daughter; Sally E. Walter (James) of Wellington (with whom she had made her home with), a son; Jack E. Resar (Karen) of Grafton, six grandchildren; Tricia Walter, Scott McCourt, Amy Richards, Staff Sergeant Jack Resar, Jason Resar, Sherri Stanley, three great grandchildren; Christopher Walter, Miranda Kasayka, Jason Stanley, a great great grandchild; Luke Stanley. Evelyn was preceded in death by husbands; John E. Resar of thirty seven years, and Max Jalowiec of twenty three years, a granddaughter; Tonya McCourt, her parents; John and Agnes (nee: Steingass) Pyecroft, a brother; Everett "Budd" Pyecroft.
