Eugene M. "Butch" Cavaceci Jr., 63, of Elyria passed away Thursday July 5, 2012 at his home following a sudden illness. He was born March 2, 1949 in Elyria and was a resident of Elyria for most of his life. Butch worked as a Biomedical Engineer, was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp., was a 1967 Elyria Catholic High School graduate and enjoyed cooking and reading. Survivors include his sons, Gene and Tony Cavaceci both of Mayfield Heights; 6 grandchildren; mother, Natalie Cavaceci of Elyria; sister, Rose Ann Cavaceci of Elyria; brother, Tony Cavaceci of Elyria. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene M. Cavaceci Sr. in 1998. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday July 13, 2012 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. The Rev. Fr.
