Erin Jane Camp Neilson, 36, beloved and only child of Suzanne and Rick Camp of Elyria, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022. Erin was born and raised in Elyria attending St. Jude's Elementary School and Elyria Catholic High School, where she participated in volleyball, softball, Key Club and was a member of the National Honor Society. After graduating from Elyria Catholic High School in 2004, Erin went on to earn her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics at Kent State where she also served as a student liaison from 2006 to 2007.  In 2007 she was recognized as "Outstanding Student" by the Greater Akron Dietetic Association. Erin furthered her studies at Case Western Reserve, where she earned her Masters of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics.  After graduate school Erin spent 8 years in Washington DC where she was employed as a Dietitian by the Department of Veteran Affairs, returning to Elyria in 2018.Erin enjoyed cheering on all of the Cleveland sport's teams as well as The Ohio State Buckeyes.   She excelled in volleyball, softball and participated in countless marathons and had a love for snowboarding and wakeboarding.  Traveling was one of her favorite hobbies; especially vacations with her Mom. Erin will be remembered by her kindness, love of life, her deep devotion to family and her infectious smile. Erin was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Jane Lisicky; paternal grandfather, Norman Camp; and paternal uncle, Dennis Camp. In addition to her parents, Erin is survived by her precious son, Daxton, the joy of her life; husband, Dave Bier and step-son, Devin Bier; paternal grandmother, Delores Camp; special paternal grandfather, James Ross; special maternal grandmother; Marilyn Lisicky; uncles; Robert Lisicky (Tricia), Tim Lisicky (Laurie), Bruce Lisicky (Jacquie), Mark Lisicky (Cheryl), Kevin Camp; as well as many cousins.  Visitation will be held at Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home located at 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road in Elyria (440)322-4626 on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a brief service at 3:00 PM.
