Elzie "Ey" Yates, 75, of South Amherst passed away Saturday December 8, 2018 at Community Health Partners Mercy Medical Center in Lorain following a brief illness. He was born May 31, 1942 in Pikeville, KY. And was a South Amherst resident for most of his life. "Ey" worked as an assembler at the Ford Motor Company in Lorain and served in the United States Army in Viet Nam. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Jackie Muko (nee-Cinser); daughter, Jenifer (Scott) Savage; son, Elzie (Terrie) Yates Jr.; grandchildren, Gregory, Haley, Jacob, Sean and Jason; 3 great-grandchildren. All services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
