Elson J. Donovan, 78, of Elyria passed away Monday February 15, 2021 at U.H. Elyria Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born January 1, 1943 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Elson was the former owner of Alco Manufacturing in Elyria, served in the United States Marine Corps in Viet Nam and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with close friends at the cabin. Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Lee; former wife, Sandy; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Karen Cohagan and Candice Palenda; brothers, Tom, Terry and Mike Donovan. He was preceded in death by his son Mark in 2019 and his beloved canine companion, Sweetpea. Services will be private and private inurnment will be at LaPorte Cemetery, Carlisle Twp..
