Elsie Mae Heugel (nee: Barker) 95, (formerly of Elyria) passed away Tuesday July 28, 2015 at Greenbrier Retirement Center in Parma Heights. She was born May 21, 1920 in Big Creek, WV. Elsie was a member of Sugar Ridge Baptist Church; she enjoyed cooking for her family. Survivors include three sons; Bennie Jr. (Roberta) of Parma, Larry (Carol) of Ravenna, Ron of Strongsville, a brother; Robert Barker (Madeline) of Brunswick, and was a grandmother and great grandmother to many. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband; Bennie Sr., a son; Gary, her parents; Herbert and Maude (nee: Sanders) Barker, four brothers and four sisters. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday July 31, 2015 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
