Elizabeth Thomas (nee Early) 72 of Elyria passed away Monday January 18, 2016 at her residence. She was born August 18, 1943 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania and was a graduate of Bruceton Mills High School in West Virginia. She enjoyed crocheting , writing poems , but most of all her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters , Michele Thomas of Elyria , Christine (Scott) Asmus of Elyria , Becky (Bill) Wright of Camden twp. , sons Kenneth (Dotty) of Camden Twp. , Dale (Denise) of Garfield Hts. , Jamie of Elyria and Matthew (DeAnna) of Elyria , 23grandchildren , 10 great-grandchildren , sister Martha Horvath of Ponchatoula, La. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 yrs. Clarence "Hillbilly" DeWight Thomas , parents Virgil and Elizabeth (nee Branson), sister Wilma Robbins. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday January 21, 2016 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
