Elizabeth J. "Jane" Miller, 89, of Elyria passed away on Friday January 19, 2024 at Danbury Senior Living in North Ridgeville following a ten year battle with Alzheimers. She was born June 29, 1934 in Shamokin, PA. Jane graduated from Coal Township High School in 1952. In 1954, the family moved to Elyria where Jane started working for the Colson Co. and followed them when they relocated to Jonesboro, Arkansas in 1957. After seven years, Jane returned to Elyria and went to work in the Accounting Department of the Ford Motor Lorain Assembly Plant where she retired after 30 years. Jane loved to read and cheer on the Cleveland Indians, She looked forward to the monthly meals shared with fellow Ford retirees. She was also very involved with St Paul's United Church of Christ by singing in the choir, participating in Guild, preparing the alter and serving as Financial Secretary. She is survived by her brother Mike (Joyce) Miller and sister, Jana (Steve) McCoy, both of Elyria; nieces Paula Hoback, Emily miller, Riley Hoback Danielle Miller; nephews, Brian Miller and Hayden Hoback; sister-in-law, Vikki Miller and several step-nieces and step-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William L.B. and Anna A. Miller (nee-Lauer) and a brother, William P. (Vikki) Miller. Family will receive friends Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd., (at State Rt. 57), Elyria where a brief prayer service will follow at 5:00 p.m.. Private burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Shamokin, PA.
