Eleanor Irene Kraps (nee: Clark) 83, of Elyria passed away Friday January 27, 2017 at Wesleyan Village in Elyria. She was born June 1, 1933 in Barberton, OH. Eleanor was a Barberton High School and Baldwin Wallace College graduate. She was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. Eleanor retired from Elyria Memorial Hospital as a Medical Technologist. Survivors include her husband of sixty years; Joseph Kraps, two sons; James S. Kraps of Olmsted Fall, John R. Kraps of Stow, two grandchildren; Jason and Jamie. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; John and Mildred (nee: Kraus) Clark, a sister; Virginia, a brother; Gerald. A Celebration of Eleanor's life will be 11:00 AM Saturday March 18, 2017 at Wesleyan Village 807 West Ave. Elyria, OH 44035. Chaplain Beth McKee will officiate. Burial will be at LaPorte Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Eleanor's memory can be sent to Wesleyan Village or to Yellowstone National Park or the National Park Systems.
