Elaine Marie Klesel 78, of Elyria passed away Friday May 23, 2025 at O'Neil Healthcare in North Ridgeville.  She was born October 3, 1946, in Columbus, TX.  Elaine was a Midview High School graduate, and had earned a Master's Degree in Education from Kent State University.  She had taught most of her career in the Midview School District.  Elaine proudly raised her family on Pinewood Dr. in Elyria. Elaine enjoyed travelling with friends and was able to take may trips both near and far.  She played piano and loved spending time with family and friends.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  Survivors include two sons; Rev. Jeffrey A. Geiger (Susan) of Spencer, IA, Steven F. Geiger of Elyria, additional survivors include two grandchildren; Hannah and Bethany Geiger, and a brother; Kevin Klesel of Elyria.  Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; Milton W. and Shirley M. (nee: Hawke) Klesel.  A Memorial Service will be held on June 28th at 11:00am at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Elyria. Visitation with friends and family will take place one hour before the service.
