Edward "Tread" Treadway, 83 of Oberlin passed away Monday January 20 , 2014 at the Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin after a lengthy illness. He was born September 21 , 1930 in Eccles, West Virginia. Edward worked for Kroger's as a meatcutter for 27 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Edward had many interests including gardening , Woodworking , enjoying singing Gospel Music and spending time with his family. Survivors include his daughters Cami (Mark) Hatfield of Oberlin Oh., Jami (William R. III) Chapman of Elyria,Oh , son Mark S. Treadway of Sullivan,Oh, sister Sue (Dwayne) Johnston of Inola, Oklahoma, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Edward was preceded in death by his wife Pat (nee Mann) and his parents John Quincy and Fannie Jane ( nee Pettry).Family will receive friends 4-8 PM Friday January 24 , 2014 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57), Elyria, where services will be held 11AM Saturday January 25 , 2014. Family member Todd Tenaglia will officiate.
