Edward V. Randall, 91, of Elyria passed away Monday July 29, 2019 at the Mercy New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain following a brief illness. He was born November 1, 1927 in Albany, GA., and was a North Ridgeville/Elyria resident for most of his life. An Iron Worker for 45 years, Ed was employed at the American Bridge Company and later at the Stevens Painton Corporation, retiring in 1989. He was a United States Army veteran and until recently was active with the Local 17 Ironworkers Union. Survivors include his daughters, Carol (Steve) Gifford, Donna (Pete) Schaffer and Terrie Lilley; son, Vernon (Sandy) Randall; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris in 2006, 4 sisters and 4 brothers. The family will receive friends Friday August 2, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Pastor Bob Wickens of Church of the Open Door will Officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
