Edward E. Miller, 83, of Elyria passed away Tuesday September 4, 2012 at EMH Healthcare following a brief illness. He was born September 23, 1928 in Coats, NC. And was a Elyria resident for 31 years. Ed worked at the Ford Motor Co. in Brookpark for 40 years, retiring as a utility man in 1994, was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of the Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church in Elyria where he formerly served as a deacon and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his daughters, Donna Kandah, Kim Burdette and Doris Hock of Cleveland, and Theresa Kratzer and Shirley Bruce of Brunswick; son, Randy Miller of Columbia Station; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Butts of Coats, NC. And Edna Phipps of Durham, NC.. He was preceded in death by his wife Madelean in 2002, grandson, Bradley Bruce and granddaughter, Katie Burdette. The family will receive friends Thursday (today) 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church 38550 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Elyria. Services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the church. The Rev. Darrell Myers, pastor, will Officiate. Burial will be at Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Twp.. Memorial contributions can be made to the church.
