Edward William McCoy 72, of St. Mary's, GA (formerly of Elyria) passed away unexpectedly Wednesday September 25, 2013 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, GA. Edward was a 1958 Elyria Catholic High School graduate, he served in the U.S. Navy. Edward retired from Emerson Electric Inc. and was a resident of Camden County since 1997. He was an avid golfer, and was a member of The Osprey Cove Golf and Tennis Club. Survivors include a son; Edward Paul McCoy (Susan) of Carmel, IN., a daughter; Kelley McCoy of Peoria, AZ., two grandchildren; Allison and Edward McCoy, and two sisters; Jeanne Tucker of Arlington, VA and Joyce Josephic of Cincinnati, OH. Edward was preceded in death by his wife; Diane K. McCoy. Graveside services 11:00 AM Saturday October 12, 2013 at St. Mary Cemetery in Elyria. Rev. Fr. John P. Seabold, Pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church will officiate. V.F.W. Post# 1079 will provide full military honors.
