It is with profound sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Edward M. Kershaw, Ill, of Richmond Hill, Georgia, on March 14, 2025, at the age of 75. Born in Elyria, Ohio, he was a devoted husband to Diane (nee Sieglaff), a loving father to Eddie (Julia and Ronan) and Lindsay (Jon), also survived by brothers Pat (Patti) and Joe (Diane), nieces, nephews and many extended loved ones. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edward M. Kershaw, Il and Jean (nee Musci)) Kershaw. Ed was a proud Alum of University of Buffalo, earning a BA on a full football scholarship. Ed continued on to earn a MA from Loyola University of Chicago. Ed's forty-year career in education included coaching football at Elyria High School, teaching history at Franklin Middle School, Principal of Clearview High School, and Associate Principal of North Olmsted High School. Ed was known for his dad jokes, sharing football and fishing stories. Possessing the gift of gab, Ed never met a stranger. Ed had a passion for football, boating, fishing, and golf. He lived a life full of fun and laughter, and creating memories with his friends and family. A Celebration of Life will be announced in early Fall 2025.
