Edward J. Kane Jr., age 71, of Elyria, passed away on February 27, 2023 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center. He was born in Troy, NY in 1951 to parents Edward J. Kane, Sr. and Dorothy (Mickey) (nee: McClean).Ed graduated from Elyria Catholic High School in 1969. He worked at Ford Motor Company for many years and then in the construction industry, from which he retired. Not a fan of Ohio winters, Ed spent many years living in Nevada and post-retirement he traveled to Arizona every year to escape the cold. Ed enjoyed golfing, reading and learning the nuances of the stock market. He had a satirical sense of humor and generous spirit. Survivors include his son, Ed; daughters, Megan, Sarah (Mike) Smith; sisters, Christine (Fred) Culp, Geraldine (Jay) Parsons, Maureen (Bruce) Hess; brother, Mark (Beth); grandson, Colin Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
