Edna Mae Heard, 63, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 11, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Elyria on February 15, 1960, to parents Clerdon Ray Hornbeck and Faye Ruth Hornbeck (nee: Kies). Edna was an active lifelong member and volunteer of Fields United Methodist Church in North Ridgeville. She volunteered at multiple food banks, was the church nursery caregiver for over 20 years, and was an avid reader. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Eugene; sons, Thomas (Sarah), and Isaac; her mother; sisters, Janet (J.C.) Amonett of Kennesaw, Georgia; Susan (Craig) Taylor of Sheffield Village; Norma Jean Smith of North Ridgeville; Dolores (James) Hopkins of Grafton; grandchildren, Eleanor and Ezra; a host of nieces and nephews; and her cat, Watson. She was loved by many and a friend to all. She is preceded in death by her father. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Fields United Methodist Church, 34077 Lorain Road, North Ridgeville, OH 44039, from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM. The Rev.
