Edmond L. "Ed" Knapp, 77, of Elyria passed away Friday December 27, 2024 at his home. He was born September 22, 1947 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident.

Ed was employed as a machinist at the Ridge Tool Company in Elyria for many years, retiring in 2009. He served in the United States Army in Viet Nam and was a member of Solid Rock Community Church in Elyria.

Survivors include his wife Terri (nee-Woodruff); daughters, Julie (Mike) Sims, Trisha (Jim) Jenkins and Anna (Ben) Benton; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Lida Mays; brothers, Hugh (Linda) and Don Knapp.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Frances (nee-Lee) Knapp and sisters, Catherine Schramm, Jean Salva and Mary Murray and his brother, Les Knapp.

A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 11, 2025 at Solid Rock Community Church 680 North Abbe Rd., Elyria.

Pastor Kevin Coleman will Officiate.

Graveside services for the family will be held in the spring at Ridgehill Memorial Park, Amherst, Twp.

Memorial contributions can be made to Solid Rock Community Church.
