Earl L. Fox, 78, of Elyria passed away Wednesday June 26, 2013 at the Anchor Lodge Nursing Home in Lorain following a long illness. He was born March 4, 1935 in Paden City, WV. And was a Elyria resident for most of his life. Earl worked as a mechanic at the Ridge Tool Co. in Elyria for 25 years. He was a United States Army veteran, a member of the National Rifle Association, a avid hunter and NASCAR racing fan and enjoyed going to auto races. Survivors include his son, Michael (Katherine) Fox of North Olmstead and his grandchildren, Jeremy and Aaron Fox. He was preceded in death by his companion Carole Frames. Friends will be received Sunday 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services and Burial will be private.
