Dwight L. Brown, 75, of Elyria passed away Friday at Golden Acres Nursing Home in Amherst following a long illness. He was born February 13, 1935 in Grandview, TN. And was a Elyria resident since 1955, coming from Spring City, TN.. Dwight worked as a cable winder at Arnco Manufacturing in Elyria for 12 years. Prior to that he worked at the Ridge Tool Company in Elyria for many years. He was a United States Army veteran, was a member of the American Legion Post 12 in Elyria and the Elyria Eagles Club. Survivors include his sons, Jeffrey S. Brown of Elyria and James L. Brown of Kentucky; 3 grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Newby of Tennessee, June Jones and Betty Kincannon, both of Elyria; brother, Edgar Brown of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Brown. The family will receive friends Tuesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. 440-322-4626. Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Chuck Behrens will Officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, where members of V.F.W. Post 1079 will conduct full military honors.
