Dusty Dee Chaffin (a.k.a. Spaceghost)

March 17, 1982 – July 7, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dusty Dee Chaffin at home on

July 7, 2025, following a brief illness. Dusty, who was born on March 17, 1982, in

Elyria, Ohio, was known for his love of music, playing guitar, and his passion for

superhero movies. His infectious laughter, sense of humor, kindness, and vibrant

personality will be missed by all who knew him.

Dusty is survived by his parents, Charles (Boe) and Carla Dee Chaffin (née

Harlow), his sister Jackie Chaffin, his beloved uncle, Carl Dwaine Harlow (Toni

Harlow); as well as his cherished nieces and nephews, Paige Chaffin, Logan

Chaffin, Destiny Patchin, Cody Grizzell, and Derrick Thompson. He is also

survived by his beloved aunt, Sue Roberts, who stood by his side during his

illness. He was preceded in death by his brother, Shaun Boe Chaffin and his

grandmother, Tressie Harlow. Dusty's family has chosen to hold private services to honor his memory. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home of
