Obituary

Dorothy "Mickey" Kane, (nee-McClean), 83, of Elyria entered into rest Tuesday March 27, 2012 at the Emerald Village in North Olmsted with her loving family by her side. She was known for her feisty sense of humor, love of family, passion and skill for cards, was a avid reader, loved traveling and eating in the best restaurants. Her family and friends will be ever grateful for Mickey's impact on their lives with unconditional love, support and quick wit. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her daughters, Chris Culp of Buckeye, AZ., Gerry Parsons of Wakeman and Maureen Anderson of Waynesville, MO.; sons, Ed Kane Jr. of Las Vegas, NV., and Mark Kane of St. Charles, MO.; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Cavanaugh of Long Island, NY.; brother, Michael McClean of LaGrange, and many lifelong friends. Mickey is preceded in death by her husband Ed Sr., who was waiting for her at a heavenly poker table next to St. Peter's fishing pond. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 708 Erie St., Grafton. The Rev. John P. Seabold, pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Grafton. In liue of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve 300 East 185th St. Cleveland, OH. 44119. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Elyria. Online condolences may be expressed at www.laubenthalmercado.com.
