Dorothy Holzhauer (nee Wasuk) 71 passed away Tuesday December 1, 2015 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake. She was born April 16 , 1944 in Elyria. Dorothy was a lifetime member of the United Polish Club in Elyria , donated to Caps for Cancer , and was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace in Grafton. Dorothy was an LPN for Kendall at Oberlin.Survivors include daughters Julie Hensley of Mansfield , Holly Holzhauer of Elyria , sons Donald of Cleveland , Jeffrey (Erin) of LaGrange , grandchildren Ryder Hensley , Ty Holzhauer and Tatum Holzhauer , sister Mary Ann (Ron) Miller of Monroeville, Ohio , brother Ray (Betty) of Avon. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard in 1998 , parents Frank Sr. and Stella (nee Sobotka) , and her brother Frank Jr. Family will receive friends 4-7PM Thursday December 3, 2015 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57) Elyria 440-322-4626. Closing prayers 9:30 AM Friday in the funeral home , followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace 708 Erie St. Grafton, Ohio. Rev. Fr. John Seabold pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery (Elyria). Family suggest those who wish may make donations to the Church.
