Dorothy R. Diedrick, (nee-Conrad), 85, of LaGrange passed away Friday January 30, 2015 at her home following a brief illness. She was born August 29, 1929 in Sheffield Village and was a lifelong area resident. Dorothy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Elyria where she formerly served on the Parish Council, was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a charter member of the Carlisle Twp. Fireman's Ladies Aux.. Dorothy enjoyed music, sewing, travel, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Donna Humphrey and Barbara Hornbeek of Elyria, Patricia Feakins of LaGrange and Mary Lou Kula of Seven Hills; sons, Kenneth Diedrick of LaGrange, Rev. Fr. Charlie Diedrick of Elyria and Ted Diedrick of Lino Lakes, MN. 17 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jane Malik of Aurora, CO.; brother, Clarence "Clancy" Conrad of Grafton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Jr. in 2004, sister, Beatrice Mack and brothers, Edward, Larry and Gerald Conrad. The family will receive friends Sunday 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria, where members of the Altar and Rosary Society will recite the Rosary at 1:45 p.m.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday February 2, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church 320 Middle Ave., Elyria. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). The Rev. Fr. Charlie Diedrick will be the Celebrant.
