Dorothy M. Bertovich (nee: Kochis) of Elyria passed away Friday April 1, 2011 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain following a long illness. She was born and resided in Elyria her whole life, but enjoyed traveling to Florida, Arizona, and Massachusetts to visit family. She graduated from Elyria High School, and attended Oberlin Business College. Dorothy was a secretary for General Motors and Bendix. She was a member of St. Jude Church in Elyria, and was an avid sports fan. Survivors include her daughter; Shelly Richards of Lorain, and three sons; Greg (Ellen) of Cohasset, MA, Tim (Cindy) of Elyria, John (Lisa) of Tampa, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1987; her parents, Stephen and Elizabeth (nee: Kontur) Kochis; two sisters, Ann Rozanc and Betty Rodachy, and a brother Steve.
