Dorlean May Brown (nee Zimmerman) 89 of Elyria passed away Monday July 11, 2016 at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain. She was born January 16 , 1927 in Polk, Ohio. Dorlean worked for General Motors until her retirement in 1987. She enjoyed singing gospel songs , traveling around the world and especially her family. Survivors include her 4 sons Marvin (Susan) of Elyria , Al (Sandy) of Elyria , John (Teresa) of LaGrange and Carl (Penny) of California , 5 grandchildren , 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 1987 , parents William and Joseen (nee Trowbridge). Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday July 14, 2016 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57) , Elyria 440-322-4626, where services will be held 11 AM Friday. Pastor Bob Wickens from Church of the Open Door will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery (Lodi,Ohio).
