Dora Mae Jones (nee: Beal) 97, of Elyria passed away Monday May 28, 2018 at Elmcroft of Lorain. She was born May 8, 1921 in Elyria, and was a 1939 Elyria High School graduate. Dora Mae was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Elyria. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing Bingo, and Bridge. Survivors include a daughter; Diane L. Gainer of Elyria, a son; Max A. (Linda) of LaGrange, additional survivors include four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Dora Mae was preceded in death by her husband of forty nine years; Maxson, her parents; Ralph and Marguerite (nee: Thorley) Beal, two sons; Larry (Fran), Eugene (Lois), and a brother; Eugene Beal. Funeral services are 10:00 AM Thursday May 31, 2018 at Brookdale Cemetery Chapel 41600 Oberlin Rd. Elyria, OH 44035 where the family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until time of services at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in Dora Mae's memory be sent to New Life Hospice 8300 Kolbe Rd. Lorain, OH 44053.
