Donna Jean Hayes, 79, of Strongsville, OH passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. She was born July 21, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio. Donna was a voracious reader, and loved dogs. Donna was an editor at the Cleveland Plain Dealer for many years. Survivors include her sisters, Sandra (Robert) Fries, Christine (Raymond) Bucholz, and Jacqueline Root; brother, William (Michaelene) Hayes; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jean Hayes (nee Dixon). Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Friday, August 5, 2022 at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria  7284 Lake Avenue Elyria, Ohio.
