Donald P. Kirkbride, 68, of Vermilion passed away unexpectedly on Thursday October 11, 2018 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain. He was born February 28, 1950 in Elyria and was an Elyria resident for most of his life. Don was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Elyria, enjoyed going to the Lucy Idol Center, was a Elvis Presley fan and also a Cleveland Indians Baseball fan. Survivors include his sisters, Mary Clare (Mark) Fildes and Kit Kirkbride; brother, Tim (Debbie) Kirkbride; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Marian Kirkbride, sister, Jane Kirkbride and a brother Denis Kirkbride. The family will receive friends Wednesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday October 18, 2018 at St. Mary Church 320 Middle Ave., Elyria. (please meet at church). The Rev. Fr.
