Donald Lee Ignasik, 85, of Elyria passed away Monday, October 10, 2018 at Life Care Center of Elyria following a lengthy illness. He was born February 26 , 1933 in Elyria and was a lifelong resident of Elyria. Donald was a 1950 graduate of Elyria High School , and earned his Bachelor's degree in business from Cleveland State University. Donald proudly served his Country in the Army. He was a member of American Legion and VFW post # 1079 both in Elyria. He enjoyed going to estate sales, collecting antique radios , and antique cars. Donald worked for McCartney and Associates as a Civil Engineer. Survivors include his wife of 47 years Sylvia (nee McCormick) and his dog Iggy. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Marian Ignasik (nee Vogler). There will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be held.
