Donald E. Fair Sr., 80, of Elyria passed away Monday June 1, 2015 at University Hospitals in Cleveland following a brief illness. He was born December 16, 1934 in Chicora, PA. and was a Elyria resident for most of his life. Don was the owner of the Fair Realty Company for many years. He was an active member of the Midway Baptist Church, a member of the Lorain County Board of Realtors, the Arid Fellowship and V.F.W. Post 1079. He was a former member of the Elyria Elks Lodge #778 and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his daughters, Terri West, Sherri (John) Acheson, Deanna Fair and Penny Fair; Sons, Donald Fair Jr., Douglas (Angie) Fair, Scott Brown and Rodney (Paula) Fair; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; Fiance', Catherine Eicholtz; Aunt, Martha Heichel. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris in 2002, son, Barry Kochis and brother, Chuck Fair. The family will receive friends Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Midway Baptist Church 41812 Griswold Rd., Elyria. Services will be Friday June 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church. Pastor Charles Keesee will Officiate. Private burial will be at a later date at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. In liue of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Midway Baptist Church.
