Don K. "Sarge" McClure, 81, of Elyria passed away Sunday January 28, 2018 at the Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake following a brief illness. He was born March 13, 1936 in Miami, WV.. Sarge worked as a truck driver for E & L Trucking for 16 years. Prior to that he served in the United States Army for 22 years. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in North Ridgeville and the American Legion Post 12 in Elyria. Survivors include a sister, Joyce Moore, a brother, Emzy McClure III and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Sheila, 4 sisters and 1 brother. There will be a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. Monday February 26, 2018 at St. Peter Church 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. The Rev. Fr. Andrew Hoover will be the Celebrant. Inurnment with full military honors by V.F.W. Post 1079 will follow at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Peter Church.
