Dolores J. "Dee" Brown (nee Schmitz), 84, of Elyria passed away Monday, July 20, 2020 at Abbewood. She was born May 6, 1936 in Amherst, was a 1954 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School and a graduate of Oberlin School of Commerce. Dolores worked for the law offices of John Morrison formerly Snoble ,Snoble, Tonry and Innes , for over forty years. She was an avid reader, gardener, was active in Brownies and Girl Scouts, and traveled through Europe with her husband while he was stationed in Germany while in the service. Survivors include her daughters Debbie (Rick) Zarbaugh of LaGrange, Denise (Tim) Pritchett of Elyria; grandchildren Dean, Adam and Megan; great grandson Alexander; sister Kathy (Ken) Reddinger of Elyria; sisters-in law Sr. Jeanette Brown SND of Chardon, Joan (Steve) McKinney of Elyria, Carol (Ted) Watt of Parma. Many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Brown Jr. in 2017; and her parents Elmer and Regina Schmitz (nee Fuhrman).A Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Saturday, July 25, 2020 at St. Jude Catholic Church 590 Poplar St. Elyria, Ohio (per CDC guidelines social distancing will be observed).
