Dixie Lee Prosser (nee: Bixler) 78, of Spencer passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday July 31, 2013 at Akron General Hospital. She was born December 11, 1934 in Creston, OH. Dixie was a 1954 Elyria High School graduate, and retired from Tappan as a machine operator following twenty five years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and bowling. Survivors include her husband of fifty nine years; Russell J. "Ike", two daughters; Cherie of Texas, Sue Prosser of Elyria, a son; Ricky Prosser (Cheryl) of LaGrange. Additional survivors include seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren. Dixie was preceded in death by her parents; Norris M. and Evelyn (nee: Boone) Bixler, and a brother; Ralph Bixler.
