Dianne Marie Dool (nee: Reid) (McCrann), 81, of Elyria was born March 26, 1942. She graduated from Marion L. Steel High School in Amherst in 1959. She was employed by Elyria Memorial Hospital as an electroencephalogram technician for 29 years. Dianne was a faithful member of Community of Faith United Church of Christ. She loved animals, especially her dog, Milly, and enjoyed gardening. Dianne was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Dool; daughter, Kelly Smith, and brother, David Reid. She is survived by her children, Todd (Betsy) McCrann and Eric McCrann; brother, Russel Reid; son-in-law Dale Smith; step-sons, Eric and Christopher Dool; grandchildren, Randall Bare, Paige and Reese McCrann, Chance McCrann and Leah Dool. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 4 PM until the time of service at 7 PM at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035 (at State Rt. 57). Pastors Arik Borstadt and Kathy Ketchum from Community of Faith UCC will co-officiate. A private burial at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon will be held at a later date.
