IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dianne (Diluciano)
Quinn
April 5, 1948 – October 30, 2022
M. Dianne Quinn (nee DiLuciano) of Elyria passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family on October 30, 2022, at the age of 74 years. Dianne will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 50 years, Rick; children: Ryan (Colleen) and Kelly (Michelle); grandchildren: Liam, Kasey, and Kendyl; sisters: Kathleen, Victoria (Gary), and Doriayn (Steve); brother: Dean (Nancy); sister-in-law: Shannon and numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Serafin and Angela DiLuciano and niece Lauren Brian. Dianne's greatest joy was "being able to make a difference in the lives of children". To that end and with a degree from Kent State University Dianne began teaching English at Elyria High School in 1972. After 27 years in the classroom she would go on to earn her MA in Educational Administration from Baldwin Wallace College and began her career as an administrator as the assistant principal at Eastern Heights Middle School. She would be recalled to Elyria High shortly thereafter to become the Associate Principal and then Principal in 2005. Dianne came out of retirement in 2011 to become the Principal of Lorain County Community College's Early College High School. She was proud of the work she did in every setting and often said that her lasting legacy would be "the life accomplishments of her students.; Regardless of the venue, Dianne spent 47 years as a public educator developing the rare ability to be simultaneously beloved and respected by both the students and staff and became a mainstay of public education in the city of Elyria. Dianne's time away from education focused on her other driving passions- family and cooking. Fostered by the deep roots and traditions of her family's summer home, The Big House, on Kelly's Island. Spending time on Kelley's Island every one of her 74 years, Dianne was happiest sitting with family and hosting friends on the front porch and feeding them shortly after. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Michael's Church, Kelly's Island, Ohio at 11 am, on Saturday, November 5, 2022. Memorial contributions in Dianne's memory may be made to the Lauren Brian Scholarship Fund. Contributions can be mailed to 113 Bears Paw Dr. Elyria, OH 44035 or online at https://lightforlauren.com/.
