Diane Isabelle Barnes (Moran) passed away after a long illness Tuesday Dec 12, 2023. She was born June 19, 1943 in Secondcreek, West Virginia and was employed at Good Samaritan Nursing home Avon before graduating from MB Johnson School of Nursing at Elyria Memorial Hospital (now UH). She was employed as an RN by Elyria Memorial Hospital for 20+ years before retiring. She raised her family in Cleveland, Berea and Elyria, and enjoyed knitting, cross-stitching and spending time with her family. Diane is survived by her son James R and grandchildren, Joshua B, Megan E and Michael S.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Charles B in 2019; her daughter Michelle L in 2003; her son Michael H in 2023; her parents, Gordon and Virginia Moran (Haynes); her sisters Shelby, Caroline and Sarah. Family will receive friends from 4 PM – 7 PM on Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road in Elyria. Burial will be private.
