Diana L. Simmons (nee: Merrick) 60, of Elyria passed away at home on Thursday July 27, 2017. She worked for GXS-Text Inc. with technical support. Diana attended St. Peter Church in North Ridgeville. She loved spending time with her family, music, gardening, and visiting wineries. Survivors include her husband of eleven years; Scott L. Simmons, a daughter; Jacqueline M. Naughton (Brian F.) of Brunswick, a step son; Michael S. Simmons of Elyria, a grandson; Aaron, her mother; Ruby Merrick (nee: Nelson) of Cleveland, a sister; Barbara and two brothers; John and George. Family will receive friends 4-7 PM Monday July 31, 2017 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
