Dennis Lee Patalon, 75, of Elyria passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. He was born June 17, 1945 in Cleveland. Dennis proudly served his Country in the United States Navy. He enjoyed teaching, diving, golfing, going to Cancun but most importantly he loved and enjoyed his family. Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years Tonita (nee Chapman); daughter, Tammie (John) Blansett of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. ; sons, Robert (Kathy) of Holland, MI., Randy of Riverside, CA.; grandchildren Angela, Joseph, Ashley, Paige, Matthew, Trevor, J.J. and Jennifer; great grandchildren Lillian, Norah, Preslee, Aubreigh, Ian, Ivy and Dylan; sisters Laura, Sandy and Cindy; brothers, Richard, Steven, and Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents Max and Dorothy Patalon (nee Bogner). Family will receive friends from 2PM until time of Service at 4PM Sunday, February 14, 2021 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57), Elyria, 440-322-4626, where military honors will be provided by AMVETS post # 32. per CDC guidelines social distancing will be observed. MASKS ARE REQUIRED. Burial will be private.
