Denise Katherine Pendergrass (nee Hales), 65, of Elyria passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Life Care Center of Elyria. She was born October 25, 1954 in Elyria. She enjoyed being with family and especially being a grandmother, Denise will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband of 21 years Roger; daughters, Jennifer (Jason) Brennan and Kristina Heligel; step- sons, Matt (Cindy) Pendergrass, Greg Pendergrass; step-daughter, Angie (Mic) Fairbanks; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Pam Mase; brother, Richard "Skeets" Hales; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Gary Heligel; sisters, Jan Renick, and Connie Dawson; Brother Rick Hales; mother, Ethel Bottomlee; step-father, Harold Bottomlee; father, Charles (Buster) Hales; step-mother, Joan (Joni) Hales; grandson Brett Bruhn.
