"Ma Krusz", Delores, "Dee" Kruszewski, (nee-Berner), of Elyria was born in Oberlin (at home) in 1933. She attended school in Wellington and Oberlin and graduated in the Class of 1952 in LaGrange, OH.. She went on to graduate from the Elyria Academy of Beauty Culture in 1958. She owned and operated D'Jons Hair Styling Salon on Lodi Street in Elyria from 1958 to 1968. For the last 47 years she has been operating Ma Krusz's Concessions, selling homemade potato pancakes and cabbage and noodles at fairs and festivals in Ohio. She has been at the Elyria Apple Festival on Broad Street since the start in 1980. She was a member of Community of Faith United Church of Christ, where she enjoyed cooking for events. She was a member of the Jolly Sixties at the Elyria Baptist Church. She enjoyed life to the fullest with her family and friends. She spent the winters in North Port, FL. For the last 22 years. She is survived by her children, John (Chris) Kruszewski, Joel (Debbie) Kruszewski and daughter, Jodie (Jobie) Aumiller; grandchildren, Brian (Melissa), Diana (Nate), Joel (Nicole), Stephanie (Bob), Ashley Dee (Eric), and Jobie Jon. Great-grandchildren, Bobby, Braedyn, Logan, Kate, Ethan, Griffin and Kalli Ann, Harrison, Hank, and Jaden. Companion and friend, John Trepasso. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, John Kruszewski, brothers, William Joy, Carl Berner Jr., Edwin Berner and LeRoy Berner, sisters, Bernice Smith and Wilma Ruder, parents, Carl and Kathryne Berner (nee-Schmauch), grandparents, William and Myrtal Street and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Schmauch and companion and friend Jack Pigman. The family will receive friends on Monday August 30, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Services at 6:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
